Chasing Her Heart

This is a new-to-me author and this is her debut novel. Chasing Her Heart is a well-written story with lots of descriptions and visuals. It was easy to read and the characters were fleshed out and real. Rory was the absolute sweetest, had the kindest heart, and he had the patience of a saint with Elise. These two decide to have a clean sort of fling while she’s in Ireland for a short time. Little did they know, their feelings wouldn’t be able to remain contained in those few months. Hop on a plane and fly to Ireland with Rory and Elise!

Riverbend Gap

This is my second book by this author and I can say with confidence I will always be coming back for more! This story built up in ways I didn’t even realize until everything came crashing down! Like, seriously. There was a particular scene between the brothers that I thought was extremely well done…the anger, the hurt, and betrayal…it all felt so real! I’ve never read a scene with that level of emotion before and it impressed me. I could see it. I could hear it. And it made my heart hurt for those two. I sped through the second half of this book because I couldn’t put it down. The ending…oh the ending is perfect! 😍🥰 Can’t wait to read the next novel in the Riverbend series. But first, I’ll be reading her book, Autumn Skies. Just in time to start my autumnal reading 🍁

This is the second book in the Tattered & Torn series. And just like Tattered Stars, this story went deep. These are emotional stories with lots of heartache to overcome. Cowles has a great writing style and excels at description and making you feeeeel everything. I love the suspense throughout the romance. It’s different from my typical clean, sweet reads. Great series so far.
Contains swearing and open door love scenes.

Tattered Stars

This is a new-to-me author and is now a favorite. I’m already onto her next book! Tattered Stars went deep. Deep into the mind of a family who had gone through a life-altering experience. And deep into the mind of the girl who saved that family from absolute tragedy. I was on the edge of my seat from page one to the end. I never knew what would happen next. Excellent story telling abilities. Excellent descriptions of emotions and reactions. Very well done. Loved this book! It gets all the love!
The next book in this series is Falling Embers and it’s amazing so far!

The Lady's Mine

This is one of my favorite authors. I’ve loved every book I’ve read! They are deep and emotional Christian stories. Kathryn and Matthias were a perfect, hard-headed pair. I felt every glob of mud and saw every speck of dirt. Can one person impact a community? That was the theme of this book. And the answer is absolutely yes. While this story didn’t go quite as deep or dig into the Christian Faith as much as I’d have liked, I still loved this book. Worth the read!

A Proper Scoundrel
By Esther Hatch
Who doesn’t love a good scoundrel? Especially Lord Byrant. I found him cute and likable…the way he’d sit on the desk, the way he’d smirk, the way he’d deliberately push peoples’ buttons. Everything about this book was good. He’s a shameless flirt and his story is definitely one worth reading! It’s hard to talk about this book without giving anything away, you’ll just have to read it!

This novel is now my absolute favorite. Yes, FAVORITE!! I think as an author, this book blew my mind. The depth of Lucy’s thoughts and emotions, and how thoroughly the author got them across, was astounding to me. The hatred was on a whole other level, but then again, so was the love. I don’t read books with swearing or open-door bedroom scenes, but I would read this story again and again and again. I wanted to start on page one as soon as I read the last word. Now I can’t wait to watch the movie!

Kiss the Girl

Wow…I loved this book!! Page after page, line after line was funny and witty! I felt I knew the characters very well early on. Melanie has some serious skills when creating real, tangible emotions for her characters. Her kiss scenes never, ever disappoint, and are some of the best I’ve read. I’m about ready to binge every book she has ever published. I wholeheartedly give you all the stars I possibly can. 5 stars!

Autumn by the Sea

This is a new-to-me author and I fell in love with her writing on page one! I knew it was going to be a good book! She has a way with words, so beautiful and descriptive. I could see and feel the scenery. The bonding she created between Sydney, Neil, his sisters, and dear old Maggie is so moving. So well done! It’s precious. While I was happy with the ending, a few things were left unresolved, and so I didn’t feel 100% satisfied. BUT! Still a great read! Go pick up this cozy autumn novel!

When We Blinked

Is it possible to give more than 5 stars? If so, I totally would. I’m wowed. I’m in awe. I’m struck, and humbled. You created and got in the minds of these two characters on a level I have never ever experienced. Sera and Connor were so personable. I felt every single one of their thoughts, emotions, and heartbreaks. I’ve truly never experienced a book like this before. I will read absolutely anything you write. I will be first in line for your next novel.

The Ebony

Jane, oh my, that poor girl sure does blush a lot! The side characters in this story were well-developed. They had different personalities and I enjoyed the camaraderie amongst the group of friends. One of them though made me mad, but she’s supposed to! She definitely added tension. The whole thing about the baskets was well-played. Haha! The end of the book will leave you wondering what happens in the next one!

Stay With Me

This book was deep! Genevieve and Sam had deeply rooted issues to overcome. I loved watching them grow from what they stumbled over. The subplot of Gen’s parents had me at the edge of my seat! It’s been awhile since I’ve read a nearly 400 page book, I loved how thick it was and it smelled good. The details of this story were so precise and vivid. I could picture her outfits every time. Sam, oh sweet Sam...you’ll love his soul.

I loved this book! I read a third of it in one sitting. I couldn’t put it down. Ian is the ultimate book boyfriend that I’ve read so far. He did all the right things to make up for all of his mistakes. Gran, what a hoot! Great character! That kiss, oh my, that kiss was something else! Holy snap! I had to read it again and fan myself cool! Perfection. I felt it in my bones. I’ll read kissing scenes by Melanie any day!

This was my second book by her and I enjoyed this one too! Full of witty lines and pouty lips. Her situation with her uncle made my blood boil at times! Misunderstandings can be life altering and can really screw up a happily ever after. You’ll have to find out for yourself if it all got cleared up for them!

A Kiss Doesn't Lie

This was my first book by this author and I will absolutely read another one of hers! I already have the next one picked out. I could cut the romantic tension with a knife and I loved it. I loved their moments together. She did a great job with the characters, especially Melissa because I could literally feel her agony. If you read the book you’ll know what I mean! There were some witty lines in here. My favorite part/quote had me laughing out loud! Great job! Loved it!

I could picture him sitting in that tiny chair! He was adorable! Patience, oh the things she said and did! I recommended this to my cousin, she loved it, and then her mom wanted to read it too!

Geogana's Secret

I can definitely see why there was a lot of hype around this book! A nautical story on the high seas packed with endearing moments, tension, fighting, cannons, and two souls in need of each other. I loved this book, the author had to have done a ton of research!! One of my favorite parts was towards the end with the pistol. Such a well-crafted and thought out story. Can we please have a sequel?

This was also the first book I read written in first person, which I found I enjoyed!

The Measure of a Lady

I’ve read 5 books by this author and I’ve loved them all! Can’t go wrong with any of her stories. The tension in this novel was on every page, most of the time I had to tear myself away. I kept saying, “ok one more chapter!” There were a couple spots where my blood pressure was up and my heart was pounding, I was so angry at the sister!
